Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I have the 11th pick in a snake style 12 team H2H league.
I am trading away Kopitar and my 1st and 2nd picks for Jonathan Toews and the other guy's 1st. his pick is the sixth overall pick. the main reason is because i think James Neal will be gone by the 11th pick and he would be great for my team, and i still get an amazing centre in return. what do you think?
If you want a specific player really bad and not sure he's going to be "around" when you draft. Just let someone else draft them and then trade for him. No need to downgrade just to target a player. What are you going to do if you make that trade and the guy right before you decides he wants him instead?
well im looking at it as im upgrading an overall centre not just points. i have Kessel, Ovechkin, Richards, Hossa and Doughty to fill that 9 goal difference. Toews got triple the PIM's, 200 more FOW and a much better +/- rating. Not just points but improving every category.
^th pick compared to 11th is a serious upgrade.
It's a mistake. Kopitar will have a better season than Toews in my opintion and a 6th pick isn't that much better than an 11th. If you could get top 3-4 maybe, but not unless you get a chance at Stamkos, at the very least.
