Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
12 team H2H league, my team is:
C: E Staal, Datsyuk, Stastny, Connolly
RW: Ryan, Briere
LW: Vanek, J Jokinen (also Ryan)
D: Gonchar, Doughty, Markov, Salo
G: Luongo, Theodore, Halak, Price
I have two extra Centers and need a wing, preferably a RW. Would Staal for Hossa or Datsyuk for Hossa be giving up too much?
i would say yes. i like hossa and i think hes better than most of these guys are giving him credit for but staal or datsyuk will be better for you. id try maybe one of your other centers and maybe a goalie with him
Dude centers are a dime a dozen and rw are not so much, staal is on fire and so is the team of late, do not trade him, however datsyuk is on the "under-performing wings" and like you said you have too many anyway, trade him for hossa. He is playing in the olympics so he is not hurt, the other good thing about hossa is that aside from being a point per game player over his career ,he not only plays the power play but is also chicago's number one penalty killer, he already is tied for the most short handed goals and has not even played the whole season! They are worth alot in most pools. Even if you end up needing another center down the road, there is so many , u could pick one up that probably doesnt have much worse numbers than dats.
look at staal's numbers since Xmas i was telling everyone he was gonna do this. his numbers are fantastic and i think dats is gonna get back to form with a healthy team and a hot goalie to back him.
if u going after a winger, make it perry or kane or st louis something
