    What to do with Huet?

Is it time to cut ties with Cristobal Huet?

Niemi has gotten the last four starts between the pipes in Chicago and it looks like Huet might be on the way out. What is the best course of option with him? There really isn't a trade market for him in my league, so that's out of the question.

    Available F/A's include:

I'm in 1st by a huge margin right now, and have Miller and Howard as my other two netminders. Elliott seems to be the best option on the F/A market, but what does everyone else think?

    • If it is a daily transaction pool I would drop Howard and pick up Niemi, Osgood is bound to get more starts after the break and this would give you both Chi goalies on a team with a great D playing infront of them.

    • well.. Eliott, halak and rinne will all be number one goalies after the break, Chicago cant rely on a rookie goalie to carry them on such a promising seaosn so look for them to make a move for a goalie.. but they dont got a lot of room to make one so huet could get another shot. if u have to pick up somone.. i say firstly TRADE huet with someone as people may still bite on him and u can make an upggrade on a position then pick up Eliot or Rinne as both have def claimed number one. ellis only plays on back to back games currently

    • elliot: clear cut no.1 on a hot team.
The other options are all time-shares, though good options for stats.

    • When you find out, let me know! I've heard Turco to Chicago, but also Turco to Philly and Vokuon to Philly. I've also heard Thomas to Chicago so who knows how this will shake out.
I know that Neimi is not helping my cause as I own Huet in two leagues. Not sure how the Hawks could manage Turco or Thomas salary.

At least you have plenty of decent options on the wire. Halak isn't a bad choice, but either is Rinne, Elliot. I don't remember a year like this where so many teams ran their nets in tandom without a clear cut #1. Very challenging and frustrating for fantasy owners!
