Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I've loved the way JVR has played all season, but it seems JVR isn't working in Laviolette's tougher system. I don't want to give up on him just yet, but he's swinging about 10-12 min of ice time on the 4th line with Powe and Asham. I've heard rumors that he'll find his way back on a line with Carter and Briere, and rumors that he's days away from finishing the season in the AHL.
I'm assuming the huge rosters mean it's a keeper league? If so, he's definitely worth holding onto.
If it's a 1 year league....I don't know....I'd say you could drop him but there aren't many good FA in your league.
he had a good run, but right now he just isn't producing anything to merit a spot on a team.. depending on who the FA's are in your league i'd rather drop him and pick up somebody else who is producing.

What about a 16 team league with full rosters -- CCCRRRLLLFFFDDDDDDBNBNGGG (IRIR)
Pretty deep...for example our best available FA players are
RW: Neil, Kaleta, Crombeen, Stortini, Armstrong, Lapierrere
C: Steen, Goc, Gaustad, Berglund, Ott, Moore, Stone, Potulny, Sutter, Nielson
LW: Hecht, Begin, Fedotenko, Nilsson, Pyatt, Prucha
D: Foster, Pitkanen, Hainsey, Vlasic, Colaiocovo, K Johnsson
Point being...do I hold him for lack of better long-term option, or do I pick up a streaking grimer off the FA list. As you can see, not much to work with
