Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
That is a very solid deal. Since this is a dynasty you have two guys, a rising player in Michalek and a bonifide great player in Kessel for Heatly whom is older. I like this trade especially since you get a pick too which is like icing on a cake.

yeah exactally what i was thinking!!
my team post trade:
Depending upon what the rest of your team looks like, it may make sense. Remember, its a dynasty league and the players you get in return will have to be protectable for it to be worthwhile. If it's a salary cap pool, neither Kessel or Michalek come with attractive cap hits. Combined, they hit almost 10M. Heatley's hit is 7M, and he'll be getting 50-55 G and 90 pts for several more years. PLUS he only uses up one protectable roster spot. Taking 2 players means you lose the value of whatever player on your roster having the extra guy displaces. If you think that the 1st rounder has a chance of being in the top 3-4 picks, I'd take the deal though. Then make sure you grab one of Taylor Hall, Tyler Seguin, or Kabanov)
