Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Let's just assume the Datsyuk owner is fed up with him. I want to put together a 2-for-1 trade to get Datsyuk (because I have Knuble and Ward coming off IR). I'll ignore goalies in this trade.
Here's my team:
Here's his team:
C: Backstrom, Krejci, Datsyuk, Gagner, Plekanec
LW: Frolov, Eriksson, Rolston, Kozlov, Kariya
RW: Horton, Holmstrom, Pominville
D: Kaberle, McCabe, Enstrom, White, McKee
Since he's short on RW support, maybe I can give him a C + RW for Datsyuk. Again, let's assume he's ready to make the change and just needs to be offered something that looks kind of alright.
12-team, 21-player, H2H league that counts G, A, P, +/-, PIM, PPP.
Guerin + Arnott?
Kesler + Backes?
Kesler + Geurin (this starts to feel like too much, but not necessarily)
I don't want to bring guys like Hossa, Crosby, B.Richards in if I can avoid it. I know, I'm acting greedy and selfish.

Yeah, I think I would do that trade (taking Savard/Lupul).
Savard's a star, no doubt.
Lupul started slow, but is putting together a few games. The dual-position is great.
I still have faith in Neal, and he's putting points up again. Tavares is a rookie, while he's talented, I'm not sure how long he can keep it up through the season.
But Savard's the best player there, so I'd have to go with that side and hope Lupul holds his own.
Probably Guerin Arnott. He won't take the 2nd because Backes has even worse stats than Pav.
I'm trying a similar trade where I'm offering Sharp, Bouwmeester and Pavelac for Dats and LeClaire Bouwmeester has the name but not really the stats and Sharp has had a good start. He has 2 goalies on IR so I'm hoping he'll want a healthy goalie.
If it works my Centers become Pav, Zetterberg, Sedin.

From the other Datsyuk thread the other day, I know you're seriously pro-Datsyuk. I'm going to hope he can put something good up for the rest of the season... and not bad considering Arnott was an FA pick-up, and Guerin I got for Havlat just before he (Guerin) started playing better again.
I wonder, however, if you should hide the fact that you're a Wings fan when you offer that trade proposal. Otherwise, he might start thinking he can squeeze more out of you.
