Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I just traded Bobby Ryan and John Tavares for Sidney Crosby but its left a huge hole at the RW position
12 team points based keeper
C: Datsyuk, Crosby
LW: Healtey, Neal, Laich(C,LW), Fleischmann(LW,RW)
RW: Boyes, Briere, Okposo
D: Lidstrom, Visnovsky, Kaberle, Gonchar, Goligoski
G: Fleury, Varlamov, Leclaire
IR: E. Staal, Hossa
I got Hossa coming back soon but who should I target and who should I try to trade away (preferably a 2 for 1) Im thinking id get the best value for Laich and Briere (maybe for Dustin Brown)
Available free angent forwards: Justin Williams, Clowe, Perron, A. McDonald, Backes, O'Sullivan, Dumont, Arnott, Cleary, Ryder, Antropov, Bergfors, Giroux, Tanguay, Gagner, Brassard, Fisher
Samuelsson has 18 points this season just like Dusitn Brown but he's an even 9g 9a not 6g 12a like Brown. Other than that they're identical players practically and Samuelsson probobly won't cost you a 2 for 1 trade. I'll bet Laich would grab Samuelsson by himself. Who do you have for PMs on your roster? if you're only looking short term you might want to pick up Carkner who is listed at RW/D on Y. He's got 9 fights on the season and 61 PMs. If Hossa comes back Sunday then Carkner plays 3 games by then. Just something to think about.
Maybe surprisingly I'd pick up Dumont. He's underrated and on a rather defensive team. However he was a good contributer for me last season and seems tro be very, very steady this season too. He doesn't score hat-tricks, but he usually gets his assist per game....
Hossa is back right away, and I expect he's going to be a RW stud for you.
The other guy that commented is right, you're LW is the place that needs help.
Goligoski is injured but when he returns he'll get less ice time and lower priority as Gonchar is now back, so I'd look to package him in a trade deal.

when Hossa comes back ill have 2 studs at both positions leaving me with need at RW2 and LW2 I think that Neal is a very respectable LW2 and that while playing on the top line and getting power play time Briere isnt a bad RW2 either and my depth players arent bad either with Fleischmann getting top PP time and top RW line time with Semin and Knuble out. Okposo has a rocket for a shot, gets plenty of SOG and PPP.
Basically im asking you guys for people who I should target in a 2 for 1 trading away Briere and Laich that will get me the most value. I need to do a 2 for 1 to be able to activated these players from IR because otherwise....i have no real droppable players
Why not just wait for Hossa to return? He's back very soon and Hossa, Briere, Boyes and Okposo would be a better than average RW corps.
I'd be more concerned about your LW personally, outside of Heatley there's nothing 'sure' there, though I guess you like the dual eligibility of Laich and Fleischmann.
