It's pretty close, but I would take it if I were you just because Crosby is such a surefire player. I'm a huge Islanders fan and love Tavares, but I can't say with 100% certainty that he will keep this up, especially with the way the Isles dropped off sharply after a decent start in the beginning of last season. Meanwhile, Ryan has a big potential but is a bit of a question mark, so if the deal feels good for you, go for it. One of the more important parts of this is that you have Hossa coming back so the loss of a couple of players for stronger value on one is almost necessary-- although you could just drop Backes.
I'm thinking of putting a claim in for him dropping Steve Mason. As I've outlined in another post, my league only uses 1 starting goalie, and I have Miller as my #1 and I have Vokoun also. Don't really need 3 goalies and Mason's awful start and back problems make it a little easier to drop him.
i think its a win for both sides actually........the other guy is gonna be adding great depth to his team.....i think bobby ryan is beast.......and obviously you getting sid means ur gonna hve a top 5 guy every year,,,,i like it for both sides......and if thats patrick kane then definitly pick him up....i have no clue how he would be avalible in a 12 man league....
