The league is 16 teams and has a salary cap of 60$ Million with Salaries following NHL Salaries. There are weekly roster changes so having a deep bench is not really a concern. Here is the trade offer I have on the table for Ovechkin.

That said I think you overpayed brutally. I know it's Ovechkin but you just don't come close to breaking even statistically.
i wouldnt do it
i mean you do get ovy and hes better than sedin but the guys you are giving away other than sedin are all better than the guys you get back
top it off with the fact of this being a keeper league and you have to say no
all great young players who are no doubt going to improve
