This trade is complete BS. OV/Weiss for Zetterburg/Kovalchuk is already a gyp for the side getting Ovechkin, but for arguments sake we'll call it fair. Then you throw in allstars at D and G for Burns and Toskala, possibly the worst starter in the league. Gimme a break. Ovechkin's good but he's not that good...

thats a steal for Ovie. but if you offered it i dont see how other team will accept since it is a downgrade a 3 spots to upgrade 40 pts at another.

yeah this actually looks like a trade where the ovi side doesn't win out, but thats mostly because of what you have on your team already. i'd do it.

I think so. Ilya has the numbers. Z will get more this year now that Hossas gone and he will play more with Pavs and Lundqvist is solid. I have Ovie in two of my leagues and i would make that trade for sure.

Thanks for all your thoughts. I think I made the right decision. Burns might break out this year and make it a little closer but that's not a sure thing. Even if he does I think I still upgraded my team overall.

Ovie's the best but you're getting too much in return to say no. Accept it for sure. This will upgrade your team dramatically.

It's a pretty good deal for Ovie, actually. For both people. what i don't understand is why your making it. Your roster is fine with Ovie in it. Your getting good upgrades at C and G, and maybe a slight bump at D but I don't think you need to make this move. Your team is quite good to begin with.

This is the first ovie trade proposition that i have seen that i would consider. Huge upgrade at every other position and kovalchuk isn't a disastrous dropoff from ovie.
