Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
This is my current team:
A few things:
I don't want to break up my 3 main combos: Gionta & Gomez, Thornton and Heatley, Lidstrom and Rafalski. I also would prefer keeping Dubinksy for obvious reasons So barring a trade with those players or my goalies, what would you all say is a far trade offer?
People dont generally go for the 2 player trade cuz its usually not worth it. Sedin would be comparable at the moment. You might be able to use Kariya if the other owner sees something in Kariya's return over Gaborik's inconsistency and numerous health problems
Whats the point of getting Gaborik? He's gonna get hurt within the month, miss a week, come back, get hurt again a few games later, miss 3 weeks, return, get a season ending injury, act like he's being tough when he returns for the last week of the season, miss the playoffs, go back to europe until september, repeat cycle...........it happens every year, I have no idea why people draft him.
Well, if you're not willing to part with those players then you're probably not getting him. Given how he's started I don't see an owner trading Gabby away for the likes of Drury or Tanguay. The guy's a top-10 player when healthy - like now - so the other guy would have every right to ask for someone you're not willing to part with.
I've been looking at trading for Gabby in one of my leagues too, good luck with whatever you try.

Ya I figured it would be tough to pull one off without those players. Hopefully if Kariya plays as strong as he's been, since he is trying to make the Canadian roster, I can maybe pull off a Pronger/Kariya trade, since the owner of Gaborik has Richards and Gagne, maybe he might be willing.
