yea, thats why i need this post here to maybe get the 4 voters (stupid yahoo makes 4 votes needed to veto in 12 person league). I need them to change their votes cause i cannot change power of how a trade is accepted who they would think im corrupt. so i need to show them why i, along with other guy, thought it was a fair deal. lol, no i did not vote against my own trade, haha...thanks for all the replies!!!
thank you!!! i just want malkin...i really think i was giving a fair deal cause i know how good boyes is now and weber was amazing last year. those are two guys i never wanted to give up but i need malkin and think he will help my team in areas i am weak in so...thanks
Would I veto this trade?
NEVER. I thought trades should only be vetoed if they were obviously collusion or someone just giving up--
I don't see that here. While I would love to get Malkin in a similar type trade, the reality is that he gave a real d-man, a real scorer and a real upgrade in goal so I see so evidence that this is anything other that two people trying to improve their own teams-- I don't have to agree with the managers here-- I just have to think they are trying
I never veto just because I think someone wins a trade and I would be annoyed as hell if I had a trade vetoed (for some up and comer that subsequently gets hot) by people that may not know the player in question as much as I

"I can see why it was vetoed...Haboib for an INJURED Leth....won't happen. "
You make it sound like the side giving Leth is not giving enough-- But they are giving Malkin and we already had it stated that one of the vetoers said that the Malkin giver wasn't GETTING enough--- plus 2-3 posts on thsi thread that said the same thing
If some folks think team A gives too much and others think team A gives too little, that souinds like a fair enough trade it should not be vetoed
haha, so pretty much, an experience player would understand this trade is fine...marque is almost untouchable in most eyes, although i personally woudl trade away a marque player...what i am saying i would do the trade the opposite way too, lol. but i get your point...wish people would see weber as an elite player...what he did and someother d-men last year is rare...thats how good they were, lol
You got quite a good return deal for those players you gave up my receiving Evgeni Malkin. His team is still really high offensive so maybe you should think about trying to get a little more offense to match him next time by another trade with another person. But, getting Evgeni Malkin is a big move so great job on that one. All in all, good job making that trade.
here is a question about the top 25 thing...top 25 according to whos rating? not yahoos cause we all know their rankings are horrible this year. Also, i think people underate the position value of players. Weber is of top value at his position. Boyes could score 40 goals this year...Top 25 does not matter right now as in a jeff carter can go from a later rounder last year to a first rounder this year. So, I think the value of players is dependent on individual assessment...i really like boyes and was reluctant to trade him but finally gave in cause I think he can be really good this year...mayber 40-40, as the blues are a better team second half of last year. So, rankings are just opinions.

believe me, while it does seem fair, and most likely is, and helps both participants, it will almost always get traded in any league where there is league voting.
This would only go through when a commissioner has the final say on trades. He will listen to both sided and come up with an objective decision. Thats why commissioner run leagues are always best. So long as he's not corrupt. Nobody likes to see other teams improve and potentially get better than their own so they vote to veto. Thats just the way it is. Again, I will say THIS IS WHY IT WILL CONTINUE TO GET VETOED.
