Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Earlier, I had posted that this guy was willing to deal Martin St. Louis and a goalie, and he was looking for a defenseman. It's been determined that I should offer Sheldon Souray first, then try Mark Streit if that doesn't work.
So, now he comes back. He doesn't indicate any decision on my offer, but he offers Alex Hemsky for Souray instead. Now, I know that he didn't list Hemsky ealier, so I double check to make sure. Sure enough, he added Hemsky to the list of people he's willing to deal.
I think he's trying to pull a fast one. My choices are:
1. Insist on the deal that I offered.
2. Call him a liar and just not deal with him anymore. After all, I have five Ds that are all of outstanding quality and the talent at that position is thin.
3. Counter-offer his counter with Streit for St. Louis
4. Bite the bullet and take up his counter-offer, even though it'll make me look like a moron.
What say ye?
