Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Who 2 keep? This will be the 2nd yr of my keeper league. Price is younger and better potential, but huet is on a really good Chicago team and montreal struggled big time. I could use ur thoughts guys.
you also have to realize that because this is fantasy you can't simply judge based on who you think is better, you have to take your team into account. If you already have a stud goalie and would rather take a risk on a higher ceiling than Price is your guy. If you're already weak at the position you should take Huet who with no competition on a good team is a lock for 35+ wins.
Price has never had a FULL season of solid play, last year he was so bad he lost his job to a no name euro goalie. Montreal is rebuilding and rebuilding teams don't do well. No matter how much you like a team it does NOT MAKE PRICE BETTER, little kids have price posters on the wall and come here blatantly spewing uneducated nonsense about how good he is for apparently no reason. He is terrible, and even if this is a keeper, Huet isn't old enough for you to worry about him, and hes playing on a matured Blackhawks, can you idiots really argue Montreal is better than Chicago? I'm sure they'll try but I don't see how you can rank the Habs higher in any category.
Huet will get you tons of stats because his team is favored to do well again next year, his defense is far better, his forwards have much more depth, and hes just a better goalie.
Even if hes not good hes getting paid too much to sit on the bench they'll never sit him, while next year if Price isn't good the coach is gone, gainey is gone and Price goes with them.
I like Anaheim and Detroit, not a hawks fan.
Unlike that douche named "Go Habs" who do you think he will want you to take.
Take Huet and don't look back at these idiots. Theres no way in any universe Price is better, I'd like them to give just one real reason how Price is better than Huet.
Montreal lost defense, Price will do below average but not as bad as last year.
Huet is by far a better goalie on paper and in real life, go back to montreal homers. Jesus Price died for your sins, don't let him take your fantasy team with him, douche bags.
If this wasn't for a keeper's league, then I would say Huet. Since it's for a keeper's league... Price may edge out Huet.
Some people overrate Price though. He still hasn't proven anything to this moment. He hasn't stolen a series yet (Varmalov & Hiller) and he struggles completing an entire season. If Gainey wasn't in love with him, he too would've lost his starting role to Halak (who BTW played better than him on numerous occasions). Potential is what this guy's been built on for a year and a half. He either shines or busts out this year.
Take Price cause if he pans out, he'll be top tier goalie.
He lost his job, now they HAVE to play him.
If you weren't so blind you'd notice Price pretty much lost his job too, because he was TERRIBLE.
You don't know shit, keep rocking those MTL colors you homer.
Huet is no doubt clearly a superior fantasy pick don't listen to these MTL fans trying to fanboy you out of a better goalie.
They have to play him, the Hawks are poised for an amazing year, take both if you can take Huet over price if you can't.
Khabi is good, no matter what age btw, retard.

HAHAHA you must be an american.... so ignorant and the worst thing is your willingly ignorant..... price has more talent and will have a way better year huet. your team is only as good as your goalie. Just because you have a good team doesnt make your goalie better.
someone who knew anything about hockey wouldve already known that though.
price all the way, o an d "homer" did you pick that up on the handy dart on your way to retard school. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA FELCHER ahhahahahahaha
Don't be a homer, Price isn't even close to as valuable as Huet.
Huet starting a top western conference team = win
Price coming off a horrible season on a barely playoff passable team = LOOSE
I'd still take price but never over Huet thats plain dumb.

Huet's possible win total is what makes me think about keeping him, but he looked pretty sick against the wings at times in the playoffs. How short of a leash will huet be on this year? Could he lose the starting job possibly?
