News: The Dallas Morning News reports Stars LW Steve Ott was held out with an undisclosed injury Monday against the Blue Jackets. He came in as questionable after missing the morning practice.

News: Stars C Brad Richards contributed his 16th goal Monday against the Blue Jackets before exiting the lineup with an injury. Richards scored 27 seconds into the game, before most of the crowd of 15,006 had settled in. Richards gave Dallas a 1-0 lead as he tried a quick wraparound that Steve Mason stopped, then jammed in the rebound. He then took a hard check midway through the second period and skated to the bench holding his right wrist. Richards didn't return.

Brad Richards has a broken wrist. Nobody in the Dallas organization is admitting this, but that is what TSN is reporting, as well as the Dispatch. The Stars are looking into calling Tom Wandell up from Sweden. Ranked 287 on my prospects list, Wandell is having a strong year over there and he would have played in the AHL this year had the Stars had an affiliate. The situation is worth watching. They will probably aquire another middle grade center before the trade deadline.But in the short term i would say Ott.
