Hockey Elitist able to help
I find myself answering a lot of trade proposals posts today, soo i may as well just make a topic for anyone who wants to discuss trades with me or any possible drafts. I am no Mike Gillis or Brian Burke but i could offer my input and give my opinion on any trade or draft pick up.
It seems to have helped others, soo feel free to ask whatever. Shopping around for the facts helps a lot. I am first in my league, and feel the decisions i have decided to make have helped me get there.
Later-
should i drop arnot

Depends on who you would be dropping him for. He has been playing pretty well as of lately.

Sedin, doesnt really matter which one.
Both Sedins are on contract years, every player plays there best hockey on contract years,

This thread gets a much deserved BUMP!

I would have to agree with your rating as Campbell >> Vlasic >> Redden.
Redden has potential. just hasnt show to much yet. Weber is a pleasant surprise though. -
Id stick with what you have for now i guess. Watch players who you think you may want to add.
Prospal for Frolov may not be a bad idea. Keep an eye out for prospal -

In a league, some guy put Ovechkin on the trading block. He said he needed a RW or a D-Man. I offered up Gagne + Campbell for OV but this is what he countered with:
I'd get
E. Stall
A. Ovechkin
I'd give
E. Malkin
B. Campbell
I would do this only if Malkin wasn't leading the league in scoring and looking like he'll stay this way. I am mostly wondering if Stall could possibly help me replace Malkin.
My Team
C - Malkin, O. Jokinen, Bergeron
LW- Parise, Gagne, Frolov
RW- Dumont, Sykore
D- Green, Campbell, Vlasic, Weber, Redden
G- Toskala, Miller
Is that trade good? And would it pass if I gave Frolov instead of Campbell. (I would'nt want to land with 4 LW's that can be starters).
Classic Yahoo! Roto league. 12 team.
Thanks in advance!(I can press accept anytime.)- 1 Reply to Nights

Hmm. well id rather have Ovie over Malkin just because when Ovie is on a roll there is no stopping him. He can land you points when you need them most, and he lead the league in 5 point games last season. Malkin is a player who will consistently earn you points.
Well i think he would want campbell because he wants a D man.
If i were you id see if you can get him to substitute E Staal for someone else.
But yes, the Trade is pretty good

i know eric staal will get 70+, but should i drop plekanec or m. koivu for him? plekanec is doing horribly and ive tried to move some of my centers but no one wants to trade in my league. who should i drop? if i even get the waiver, im last in line.
advice is appreciated, thx- 2 Replies to Matts Associate

hahah oh wow, im an idiot. For some reason i was thinking Jordan Staal instead of Eric Staal. My bad, soo
Yaa i do agree with you, Eric Staal will be good for 70+ points this season, he is iff to a fairly slow start, but he tends to get off to slow starts from season to season.
I still stick with dropping Plekanec for E Staal for sure.
sorry for the misunderstanding -
I would drop Plekanec as it stands right now that Montreal line is really struggling right now.
Though i cant imagine E Staal going for 70+ points this season. Hes not off to a start to prove that yet. Thoguh if you strongly think that and want to keep him. id have to go with dropping Plekanec

eric staal or tomas plekanec? or mikko koivu?

Out of those, id have to go with Koivu. Hes leading a great Wild team. He should be good for 60+ points. He started off really well, than kind of dropped his pace a bit.
But out of those 3, id rather have M Koivu.
But, look for Plekanec to pick his game up, hes lined with Kovalev, and that is usually Montreals goto line, and that line has slumped quite a bit. Guy Carboneau has worked with the line and i would expect that line to start producing soon. When it does it means Plekanec will pick his game up and start getting points, soo watch out for him
