    too many centers........

ive got datsyuk, mikko koivu, brad richards, and i picked up ribiero after his huge game last week. im thinking i should drop both of the dallas centers and pick up arnott and a either a rw or dman. heres my team:

    Mike Knuble (Phi - RW)
    Todd Bertuzzi (Cgy - LW)
    Sean Avery (Dal - LW)
    Brian Gionta (NJ - RW)

this league is a winners league, probably one of like 10 in existence. i am actually waiting for another winners league to draft (autodrafts only, unfortunately). i am wondering if people know something i dont, or if they are just overhyping fast starts to other player. but briere can ALSO be an easy pick up for me as arnott is. corvo, bouwmeester, even franzen are all good players, but just struggling right now. in franzens case, injured. what should i do???

    • Drop Blake and pick up Knuble. He gets tons of PPP's. See if you can trade off Brad Richards since he is overrated. You need to do something about your goalie situation as well. Briere will listed as IR shortly so I would drop McCabe and pick him up. That way you can trade away some centers.

    • first off get rid of Blake, he is useless. Koivu is the C on your roster most likely to fall back to earth. I don't like Richards for fantasy at all and Ribeiro is on the Stars top scoring line with Morrow. If you really need to drop a C I would dump Richards, don't be fooled by his O-Rank of 50.

    • McCabe is wasting your IR... Drop Blake and grab Franzen as soon he hits the IR. Put him on your IR and dump McCabe. Pick up Ryder with the extra roster spot to keep Franzen's seat warm.

Drop Blake for Bertuzzi, alot of people dont like him, but G, PPP, and PIM all in one player is hard to argue against in my book.

I would drop either Liles or Coburn or both for Corvo and/or Jovanovski, depending on your preference (I suggest dropping Liles before Coburn if you only want to loose one, and taking Jovo before Corvo, but this is splitting hairs) McCabe will probably clear waivers and be closer to returning when he hits FA. If any of your D at that point isn't producing grab him up again. Keep an eye on Rolston and be ready to drop Prospal to get him when he's healthy again.

I would try to trade Ribeiro or Richards if you can in an attempt to upgrade your RW or goaltending a bit. Ribeiro has a better market value right now, but that could change fast when Zubov comes back... Dallas WILL improve in every way, defense, PP, and offensive numbers. When he gets healthy it will affect the entire team, its hard to say who will benefit most.

Hell considering his slow start you may be able to pry Turco away from someone for Lehtonen and a good package involving Ribeiro depending on the owner... Turco will turn it around. Or you could move Bryzgalov and Ribeiro for a slightly better goalie. Your situation in net makes me a little nervous since Price isn't getting as many starts as you may need out of him... He's been splitting time with Halak more than I thought he would. An upgrade there may be a good idea considering your other starters... but this is coming from a guy who picked up Kipper off of waivers...lol.

There is my two cents... hope they helped.

      • thanks! im not sure about picking up those dmen though. i like the idea of scooping franzen once he reaches the ir though. he would be an excellent add....jovocop and corvo havent done ANYTHING yet this year. surprised you didnt mention bouwmeester. why does no one like arnott?? he might be injury prone but when hes on the ice he produces. then again, i dont have room for a center, and i cant exactly just drop either of the likes of brad richards or ribiero. i offered trades to ppl, but ive only gotten insulting response trades. its like in a winners league everyone cant trade because theyre afraid. i offered very even trades, even trades that might slightly favor them and they all either havent responded or they insulted me with their response trade offer. surely SOMEONE would trade ribiero for, oh, say sammuelson??? but NOOOOOO...

      • *grab Ryder OR Bertuzzi with the extra roster spot... I kind of talked myself into a corner there, sorry!

    • I'd stay with what you have for now. Richards has been one of the most consistent fantasy producers for the past few years, except he has never really done well in the +/- cat. Riberio should have a great season.

Answer my "trade help" post below? Thanks.

    • To start with, Briere's out for a month or so, can factor him out

    • i could use some help!!! please!!!!
