  • S Koivu or P Marleau ?

    Ehh i was just wondering who would be an overall better pick ?
    I do know Marleau is playing with Thornton, and Cheechoo and the Sharks are looking good, and id say Marleau is good for 80+ points this season.

    Though S Koivu has had a really strong start and is also on a solid Montreal team and is a proven player. His +/- is very impressive and i expect it to stay high.

    My current Centers are:
    Toews, Dubinsky, Briere, Getslaf. Looking to fire off a trade for Dubinsky while hes hot though. soo another C position will be available.

    Im leaning more towards Marleau as an overall player, would that be a wrong decision ?

      Are you saying Saku and Joe are both FA in your league? or you are looking to go after one...

      Are you saying Saku and Joe are both FA in your league? or you are looking to go after one in a trade?

      I would take Marleau if you are picking in a trade... if they are FAs then why not both?

        Over all who would be a better player, with Marleau now on a top line, he should hit his break out year people are expecting.

        Though Koivu seems as he will as well, Montreal is a strong healthy team, with the top PP unit last year, and with Koivu on the PP line for them now which still looks strong, i expect him to rake up some good points, +/- and hes actually known to take PIM about 93 last season.

        But overall who would be the smarter pick ? Sure if like them both, but i have Briere, Toews and Getzlaf already with a trade for Dubinsky pending.

        Soo im asking the elitists here who do you think is a smarter pick up, or should i do whatever to get them both ?
