Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
12-team Roto league, std. scoring ...
LW - have Prospal - Bertuzzi available
RW - have Satan - Hejduk & Havlat available
Other LW's are Gagne & Carcillo,
other RW's are Boyes & Selanne
What should I do? Stick with Prospal, Satan, or both? Pick up any of the FA's mentioned?
Thanks for any and all help.
I'm supposed to admit you make sense based on the fact that a guy scored a goal? Whoopity-doo. It's one goal. Once again, Brunnstrom scored three and he's never been on NHL ice. And if you want to bring Crosby into the argument, it just goes to show that a guy that is supposed to score 50 goals could totally flop (see Cheechoo).
The point is that if he drops Boyes or doesn't pick up Hejduk, they're going to get pick up by other managers because they're reliable players. Sure, he may get Havlat for 1/4 of the season and have slightly better production, but what's he gonna' do once Havlat is injured and Boyes and Hejduk aren't available?
Nope, not at all. I'm an Avs fan.
And so what if Brunnstrom scored 3 goals in his debut? Crosby only has 2 points this year, and he's going at a 41-point pace for this year. Doesn't mean he'll get it. Nor does it mean Brunnstrom is the next coming of Pavel Bure or Ovechkin, for that matter.
Admit that I make sense.
Drop Prospal. I'd rather have Gagne on my team instead of Bertuzzi.
As for the RWs, most definitely pick up Havlat. Boyes is good as well, since the Kariya-McDonald-Boyes line is clicking. I'm surprised he's available in your league. Same with Selanne. Those are 3 very good RW options.

Dork, he's already got Selanne and Boyes. And no, he shouldn't pick up Havlat. Havlat couldn't stay healthy if the put him in a plastic buble and then put the buble in between Phaneuf and Chara, and then stuck Carcillo in front of it.
Hog, if you wanna' do anything, which I probably wouldn't suggest, drop Satan and get Hejduk. (I have no idea why Hejduk would be available to begin with). Satan is a little riskier than Hejduk, and I doubt the risk will be worth the return.
