Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
12 Team H2H, Deep League 4C,4LW,4RW,4D,2G Starting
My centers are really lacking and my counterpart needs a goalie.
I give: Theodore+Brunnstrom
I get: Backstrom (Wash)+Fernandez
I essentially see this as Theodore+Brunnstrom for Backstrom as my expectations for Fernandez are low.
My goalies are Luongo and Vokoun which I am happy with. Saves are a stat, and both were in the top 5. Both should have high SV% too. My LW are Zetterberg, Huselius, Brunette, Booth, and Staal.
For those who don't know who Brunnstrom is, he is the highly touted rookie from Sweden who has been playing the first line in Dallas.
So...make this trade?
Thanks in advance.
The question really is who are your other goalies that you can trade Theodore? He will probably be the starter but may end up loosing alot of time to Budaj. If you have a better number 1 goalie, make the trade.

Just for your information Theo no is no longer in Col He is now the Starter in Was. That said I still think the trade should go through as it addresses both teams needs. Also Fernandez as long as he stays healthy should see plaenty of playing time. With the Bos def in front of him his # should be fine although not as great for the stats counted in this league. I don't see Boston paying Fernandez what they are paying him to sit on the bench.
If it sheds any light on what people think, the small background on it is that I have crap for goalies. I do have some decent C's and F's, but my goalies are rough, Legace, Fernandez, Kolzig. That is why I am offering up Backstrom as part of it. We both kinda end up with someone we do not want to give out. As I have said to AK, I get the twitches, strokes, and coronaries when I am typing Backstrom's name to trade to him. It is painful!!! This has been a process for the 2 of us, so I can understand his hesitation. Anyone give him some real opinion please. We are in a pretty cool private league where we all respect and have fun with each other, while wanting to woop each other's a$$ all at the same time. Give him some thoughts.

Haha, yea this trade is tricky. I am having a tough time trying to make it balanced. The part that is killing me now is Brunnstrom's potential and how many games Fernandez will actually play, if at all.
Lots to think about, but I feel I also need to do this deal as my production from centre is lacking (Legwand as my #2 guy lol...).
As a side note, would you consider Gologoski at all as oppossed to Brunnstrom? He will see PP time with Sid and Malkin with Gonchar and Whitney out. My defense is my strong point so I can afford to move him.
Theo may get alot of wins because of his offense, but he will get lit up all year.
Backstrom, Nylander & AO might be the best line in hockey this year.
Backstrom will be a great addition to your forwards.
