Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Not being sure who's been taken and who remains from the top 300, I would say Satan for sure. He wasn't on a lot of people's radar, but he's going to do well, I believe, in Steeltown.
Lots of people have been losing interest in Naslund over the last couple of seasons (arguably for good reason), but I think he may experience a rebirth in NY, playing on their top line with Gomez & Zherdev.
Gagne is back and in good health, it would appear. He was right off the screen in terms of rankings, but we all know what he can do if his melon remains intact. He's a must-have if he's available and if you aren't too limited in your transactions, should you need to drop him later if he gets his bell rung.
Franzen may or may not prove to be the real deal in Detroit, and may already be gone, but is worth picking up if he's available. You said yourself that your team is terrible, and Franzen will not be terrible. That means there room for him on your team if he's out there.
Peter Mueller shouldn't be called a sleeper necessarily, but he may have escaped some peoles' notice. If he's there to grab, do it right away.
Modano was probably not on anybody's wish list but you know he can deliver 50 points easy, so get him if you can.
Horcoff, Gagner, and Cogliano are all good, and were probably not taken.
Vrbata in T.Bay may be gone already but is worth scooping up if he's available.
Koivu and/or Lang may have dodged the draft, but are both capable, and worth a look.
Bertuzzi's gona get a shot on the top line in Calgary, it would appear. He may just fit there, and deliver decent numbers.
Finally ... Patrick Marleau. He's available in a lot of leagues, but is due to bounce back. If he does, we know what he's capable of. 70-80 pts. isn't out of the question.
Good luck in getting some of these guys if they're out there.
Not sure if they're top 300 but...Brunnstrom, Connolly, Satan, S. Kozlov, Okposo, Purcell, Booth, Kessel, Afinogenov, and Sheppard, to name a few.
Some of these guys could get as much as 50 points...but guys like Purcell and Booth will probably be in the 40's.
Micheal Ryder may be worth taking a chance on... He will either play with Bergeron or Savard
Satan who is now on the Crosby Line should rack up the points
Peter Mueller is a kid with alot of upside
Dustin Byfuglien is clasified as a D, but will will play F.
expected points (40-50) not bad for a D-man
For more tips... let me know...

Oh, sorry should have said the catagories. G, A, P, +/-, PPA, PPG, PPP, I would have rather taken out PPA and PPP and replaced it with SOG, but it is what it is. Also, its a 12 team league, but you can start 2Cs, 2 LWs, 2 RWs, 1 F, 1 C, 3 D, and 2 UTIL, making it very deep.
