Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
ok, if i picked up Bergeron i would drop Carter. Im a die hard Bruins fan, but i think Bergerons going to do really well tonight and he'll have more PPP. What do u guys think?
Um, Bergeron didn't play last season because of a SERIOUS CONCUSSION and CONCUSSION RELATED INJURIES. Carter is miles ahead of Bergeron at this point in his career. IMHO dropping Carter for Bergeron would be silly.

Briere will play as a wing on richards line, believe me along side with gagne. I would not drop carter as he will be playing with Lupul, Hartnell, or Knuble, maybe even giroux, so that line has definite potential to do damage.
Because you are a die hard Bruins fan in this instance I think you are making a good choice to risk the loss of Carter only in so far as, based on career averages, Bergeron should net you about 18 points more than Carter over the course of the season.
Although Patrice loses ground to Jeff in the tough guy category he more than makes up for it on the power play points he racks up.
Shots on goal are about equal and I think the plus / minus differential is an anomaly because if I remember correctly the Bruins really sucked in net in 05 - 06 - wasn't Jordan Singalet there best goalie stats wise that year? it sure wasn't Raycroft. That was also the year that Hal Gill played almost every game while the rest of the D-core spent time in the infirmary. So much for that Leetch signing.
I say go for it because you love the golden teddy bears - after all we are talking about a 6 -8th forward in your rotation and ya gotta have faith in the team you cry into your beer over.
