I really like this trade. Nash in my opinion is exactly like Kovalchuk...a guy who will get goals from LW. Nash has more advantages though; gets a lot of PIM, is a SOG machine and his +/- isn't as bad (both are bad anyway, but that's not their strength). They are pretty much the same player as you look at both to get goals for your team...except Nash will provide more SOG and PIM. I expect them to score maybe at roughly the same pace, but Nash seems to have found his touch again, scoring number 31 tonight.
And then Gaborik for Rolston...not much explaining to do here.
