Are you guys kidding me? How can Mike Green be underrated??? He was among the top offensive defensemen last year, and was the third most popular overall drafted defensemen this year, next to Lidstom and Phaneuf. Green has been great for me, but I drafted him in the 3rd round...that'd be like saying Hossa is underrated because he's doing better than most expected.
For me, I picked the following up off the FA:
Weber (ranked 125 pre-season), now the #1 fantasy Dman and 10th over all fantasy player.
Auld - picked him up as a third goalie before he won the starting job in Ottawa - I lucked out there!
Samuelsson - (ranked 183 pre-season), now is #44.
Brassard - (ranked 987 pre-season), now # 102 - though everyone has picked him up, and subsequently dropped him.
And, maybe not underrated, but definately outperforming expectations this year is Rob Blake, who came to me through a trade, but is ranked 13th overall after having a pre-season ranking of 175.
S.Koivu, who I drafted, is under-valued by many team owners, though not underrated. Draft rank of 182, he's 62nd in the league right now.
