Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I'm the commish and this is what's going on in my league. The facts are:
a) These two are friends outside of the game
b) Team A hasn't made any roster updates or changed his line in the past two months (basically looks like he's given up)
c) Team A is in last place and team B is in first place
d) Team A hasn't accepted or declined any other trades from people including myself.
e) It's a 10 team league
Here's the trade:
Team A: Henrik Zetterberg, Dany Heatley and Alexander Semin
Team B: Cory Stillman, Thomas Vanek and Brad Richards
I'd like to hear what other people think. I've had complaints from two other members in my league and we all agree that this is a form of cheating. What do you think?

if your going to be an ass just kick him out of the league put all his players on the Free Agent Pool and have a Waiver Draft (that you could get everybody on msn to decide to who choose what with whoever goes last in round 1 will get first choice) though that would become a BYE week and free 10-0 or whatever your stats are for the team "facing" him
probably veto it, i mean that just takes out the fun, yeah i have a friend in my league but we dont make unfair trades even though alot of transactions involved big name players
unfair trades in private leagues are the commish job(unless he does the trades) and public league is yahoo's
The commissioner in this league is a complete idiot. He has tried to control this league by getting his buddies to veto any deal that he does not like. Funny how Alex pointed out the fact that only 4 people are actually trying now out of a 10 person pool. Shows how they really feel about it.

First of all Alex, why would you make a second account just to make it look like your'e another individual. It's pathetic, and displays your immaturity. There's no Digital Pimp in my league and it's also your xbox login name.
I have only brought to attention the trades and it's up to them whether or not they want to vito.
Finally, why do you keep switching the subject? Firstly, more than 4 people are actively participating in the pool. Secondly, it's completely irrelevant to the topic being discussed. You tried to cheat, people realized it was obvious, and now you are trying to find anyway to insult me, look less guilty or change the subject.
Funny how you lose control of your pool because your a control freak. Its not cheating if the other manager accepts the deal. OH and why dont you state the facts kev that you have been making one sided deals all pool as comiss. Yeah the facts are after this deal was accepted I offered Mike richards for C schubert to compensate just a bit to the deal. I do feel bad and thought it would not go through. Just state the F*&^ing facts before you run your control freak mouth all over town. AND I KNOW I~M POSTING THIS TWICE FOR ALL TO READ.

Firstly, attacking me personally by calling me a control freak is irrelevant to the topic of cheating and unfair trades.
When you say I've lost control of the pool, I'm unsure of what you mean. "Lost control" is very ambiguous. I'm going to assume that by lost control you mean other people losing interest. Unfortunately I have no control to begin with over whether or not people want to continue playing. Therefore I have not lost any control since there was no control to be lost.
"It's not cheating if the other manager accepts the deal" was the statement you made. Picture this scenario. I join a hockey pool and get a friend to join as well. We are both managers. However, my friend only joined to give me all of his best players to me so that I have a clear advantage over the rest of the managers in the league. He sends me a trade offering of his best players, and I give him my worst. I then accept the deal. Would you consider this cheating? I would consider this cheating, and I would expect that you would agree with this statement. However, your statement states that because I accepted the deal for the better players, it's not cheating. This contradiction leaves your conclusion "It's not cheating if the other manager accepts the deal" to be false by reductio ad absurdum.
"OH and why dont you state the facts kev that you have been making one sided deals all pool as comiss." Firstly, me being commissioner is irrelevant to my trading history. I've made seven trades to date, and none have been vetoed. About 6/7 of the trades have worked to the advantage of the other party involved in terms of fantasy statistics. I've heard no complaints from any of the other managers I've traded with in terms of my deals being unfair. I have made three 3 for 1 trades, due to my considerable involvement in the free agency and having the resulting team depth. I believe this is what you have a problem with. However, a 3 for 1 trade does not make a trade unfair. I can assure you that all of my trades were legitimate with both managers involved looking to benefit their hockey team. Lastly, it's none of my trades being brought into question here. If we can remain on topic, the trade being discussed is the heavily lopsided and possible dishonest trade posted above.
"Yeah the facts are after this deal was accepted I offered Mike richards for C schubert to compensate just a bit to the deal. I do feel bad and thought it would not go through." It's nice that you've acknowledged the fact that the trade was not fair and that you're willing to re-evaluate the terms. It's unfortunate though that this was done after the fact, and still begs the question as to whether or not the intent was to cheat. It was the sole purpose of this thread to investigate that question with the help of the public. The trade was quickly vetoed so I'm now looking to continue on and hope that no questionable activity occus moving forward.
"Just state the F*&^ing facts" - I stated all relevant facts.
"before you run your control freak mouth all over town." - Again, not relevant.
"AND I KNOW I~M POSTING THIS TWICE FOR ALL TO READ. " - Unnecessary use of capital letters and it's also unnecessary to post a message in this thread twice.
