Which D would you drop or trade?

    Here's my D.
    Boyle (IR)
Visnovsky (picking up off the wire)

Should I pick up Visnovsky or just leave well enough alone. Or try to pick him up and trade Kaberle away or something?

    • That's rough...they're all great players.

Kaberle and McCabe are line mates, and do well together...but have had a slightly slow start (they're sure to pick up though, as they are both great defenders). McCabe is a great sniper, who also racks up PIMs...which is always good. Kaberle stays out of the box for the most part, but makes up for it with his high scoring seasons. I'd stick with these guys as two of your top line D-men.

Timonen is the new quarterback on the PP with Philly, and is also a solid defenseman on even strength, usually contributing lots of assists, so I'd stick with him as well.

Gonchar is not producing the same as last year's 67-point getter, having his only points being 2 assists thus far...but he's known to pick it up as the season progresses. (He'd be the one I'd give up first, as the Pens are struggling with a 2-2-0 record thus far in the season).

Boyle is IR for at least another 2-4 weeks, but is practicing with the team. As a consistent 40-50 point getter (with 60 last season), I'd keep him around as well.

As for Visnovsky...his +/- is terrible (as any player on the Kings is), and chances are it will only get worse...but it might be worth it if he ever picks his game up and nets another 60 point season.

Final point...I'd stick with your line-up as it is...it's not far along into the season at all, so there's really nothing to worry about at the moment. Stay with your current line-up, but keep an eye on Visnovsky...
