Thought I would pop out and say hey while I had a chance...
This new job is killing me but the rewards can be huge for my career... with now 49 days to complete 8 floors everyone thinks we will fail. I think if we open on time I will have an opportunity to secure my future here this time... I have never worked is such horrible conditions and as hard as I have the last week, with about 6 more of those in front of me.... For the week I have almost 60 hours and there is still tomorrow and Friday (my late night) ahead of me.... As odd as it is, I'm beyond happy... It kind of scares me that the rush from the pace and the pain of breaking my body back into this work environment, not to mention breaking in a new pair of boots, can leave me happy.... I'm exhausted and have missed the last 2 races. 1 on a mini vacation, and 1 working 14 hours this past Sunday.. Yet it is all worth it if it pays off in the long run.... They gave me an awesome salary but I want even more, More power, more money... This is my proving ground, If they only knew how bad I have been bluffing this whole time.... I feel the weight of the world on my shoulders, and I'm wondering if any other planets need me to hold them up...
Mostly I just wanted to pop out and let you guys know I haven't been caught by those black helicopters just yet. LoL... I will be gone for the next 6 weeks and if I screw up, I might just have a lot more time on my hands out here... I don't plan on that, but who knows, I do still have a huge mountain to climb to get to end of this maddening race to get this building complete. Amazing how much can be done in just one week....
Till my next break, L8R

It's good to know you're doing well, stress aside. Just remember when it's getting you down that there are people out there that would do just about anything to be in your boots.
A friend of ours is fighting for his life right now, just for doing his job. He was the worst injured in the Houston electrical vault accident about a week ago. He's blinded. With third degree burns everywhere but his hands and feet (boots and gloves). And he has two young children.
That makes life pretty good for all of us by comparison.
I hope you make your deadline. Good luck with it.
