    Hornaday Suspension Coming?

Ron hooked Darrell Wallace Jr's bumper & spun him just like Kyle Busch did to Hornaday at Texas 2 years ago. They parked Kyle for the Texas Cup race back then. Will Nascar have the guts to park the 55yr old Hornaday for the next race?

    • I don't think so. Yes, it was under caution, but that's about where the similarities end.

Rockingham is slower than Texas to begin with, so even if they were going full speed, it wouldn't have been as fast when it happened. And then they'd already slowed down some for the caution, so I would be surprised if they were doing more than about 80mph at the time, as opposed to 180mph.

      • I've even been to the Rock in 98 and haven't given much thought to the top speeds run there.
It has always been a track that I watched the drivers hunting as much as the competition.
Rockingham requires a constant, lap by lap hunt for the best lines for your car. From start to finish.

The ones that get that figured out the best and have a car setup to do it will win almost every time. But that is one heck of a moving target. Keeping it in the bulls eye all day is too.

To me, that's one of the main things that make Rockingham such a great race track.

And it's good to see racing there again. And a lot of testing too.

kyle had done it in all three series in the few months up to that race were he spun a champ contender.there will be penalties but no parking of hornaday.
