I know everybody has been talking about the Joey/Denny/Tony issue but I wanted to wait till things slowed down to ask another question regarding the race.
I'm confused over what happened on pit row with Mark Martin on the 2nd caution when some of the drivers hit oil on the track and made contact with the wall. When he came in, his crew brought out a baseball bat to wedge up between his front right tire to bend the metal and make space for that tire. I didn’t think a baseball bat was "aaproved" by NASCAR to be on pit row…am I wrong on this when it comes to what is allowed on pit row & what has to go over the wall. I never seen that before…..
It is a first for me to see. I figured it had to be OK or he would have been penalized. I LOVE watching pit stops and have seen the hammer but not the bat…you learn something everyday. Thanks for not making me feel stupid for asking a known fact...LOL
