Bummer Cliff.
I was thinking of ya regarding the 48/99. The 56 was strong too. I couldn't believe it.
And thanks to truly mind boggling pit strategy of Hamlin, what could have been a great week turned into a good week.
4 tires? Really? With 8 laps to go?
I mean, not a splash n go, but four tires? Not fuel and two tires, but four tires. Really?
How many places did they figure those 4 tires with 8 laps to go when they entered pit road that 4 tires were going to enable them to get back?
LMAO
Ended with a 338.
If only I woulda shoulda coulda started Gordon. But I didn't have the guts LMAO- 2 Replies to Richard

I totally agree. What were they thinking? I had a 300+ week too but should have been better. Had Denny and Jr. Both killed me making the leaderboard. As for Gordon, I haven't used him all season but, my son used him up last night. LMAO

Actually Hamlin alluded to that in the post race interview - once the 24 got by them, they had to make sure they didn't finish ahead of the 18, and since they had no chance to win it didn't matter where they finished. Not that there were any team orders or anything like that...no not at all ;-)
