There is no denying that the 18 is strong here. But he is also under a tremendous amount of pressure. What have we seen happen to Kyle before in high pressure situations?
As for the 48, they don't call him Mr. Consistency for nothing.
Kyle was 21st in P1, 8th in HH and Q'd 15th.
JJ was 18th in P1, 2 in HH and Q'd 5th.
With my respect, Kyle did say in an interview that he didn't want to see this race turn ugly. But regardless, Kyle needs this and with Gordon starting on the front row, the threat of rain... It could very well be wreckers of checkers for Kyle. But if the race were to end exactly as it sits now, Gordon is in, Kyle is out.
