All I got for ya today is that I did get on the air on The Morning Drive about 9:25 am EDT :-D And as you might have guessed it wasn't a bloviated opinion, just an obscure factoid - Trevor Bayne had been on and mentioned that this was his first Sprint Cup race at Atlanta so he had to go to the rookie meeting, and Pistol Pete said it was funny that a Daytona 500 winner still had to go to rookie meetings. So I called up (and as anyone who has called in before knows, the lines aren't always open so you have to hit it just right) and was put through with the trivia bit that A.J. Foyt ran his first Winston Cup race at Watkins Glen in 1989 (and I later thought it might have been 1990, but whatevs) and had to have the rookie stripe. Yeah 4 time Indy 500 winner, and Daytona 500 winner, sporting the rookie stripe. So they were mildly impressed and Pete said something about Mark Martin having to have a rookie stripe somewhere this year - obviously wouldn't have been Cup and I don't think he's run any NW or CWT races, but again whatevs.
So that's my brush with celebrity for the day :-D
