I'm unclear how qualifying points work for a driver without any remaining allocations? It seems to me you would still get points for them since allocations are driven by starts, not qualifying efforts or races entered. Anybody have insights? I've used all my allocations for a certain driver, but there a strong qualifier so I don't mind leaving them on my provisional for a shot at a few extra points.

When a driver has reached the maximum starts limit and thus has 0 starts remaining, he no longer accumulates any fantasy points (including bonus points) for your team, even if he occupies an active roster spot.
OK, in one of my big leagues we have 3 entirely abandoned teams. Every other week or so they get points for qualifying, so one may have 3 points, one pay have 15 and the other zero. So they do get qualifying points
But I think if you reset the drivers it may make you move out the driver with zero starts left, I see you may want to leave one of your backup B spots on the bench, or whatever but I don't think it will let you do that.

As long as a benched driver has starts left, they will receive qualifying points even on an abandoned team. Only starting drivers will lose number of starts, not benched drivers. After the red zero appears, that driver will no longer be scored.
I boot teams that have red zeros in their line-up two weeks in a row, because that particular owner has been absent for at least a month or more. That only shows lack of commitment. Goat's Go Or Go Homers is a competitive league, I intend to keep it that way!
There are two spots open in my league if anyone is interested. Some good teams begin to get eliminated this time of year from elimination leagues, but still like the competition. So, feel free to come aboard! Everyone is welcome should they choose...

No ...Drivers with 0 starts left DO NOT get qualifying points.... just because a team is abandoned is irrelevant ... the abandoned team still has players on the weekly roster that still have allocations left but are not "starters" ... these drivers WILL get qualifying points
