Yeppers - Kyle Busch was cited for "Careless and Reckless Driving" after being pulled over by police for doing 148 in a 45mph zone:
And, keeping it funny - "Top-10 Reasons Kyle Busch Was Going 128 Miles Per Hour On The Road Tuesday In North Carolina" -
"10. Restrictions on testing have forced teams into some crazy alternatives.
9. Just to show the world that he's fast in anything that he drives.
8. Wanted to go speeding by the Hendrick Motorsports headquarters just to rub in some more to them what they got rid of.
7. Preparing for an appearance in this year's Cannonball Run.
6. Because Goodyear sent a really good tire.
5. Those creepy living M&M's were on the floorboard pushing the accelerator.
4. Thought he saw an ESPN camera crew behind him looking for an interview.
3. To show his NHRA moonlighting brother Kurt that he's better than him in drag racing too.
2. Blockbuster called and said they could only hold the last copy of "Hannah Montana: The Movie" for 10 more minutes.
1. Had teammate Joey Logano with him. Wanted to show him what it felt like to go really fast in a car without crashing it."
A senior citizen drove his brand new Corvette convertible out of
Taking off down the road, he pushed it to 80 mph, enjoying the wind blowing through what little hair he had left.
"Amazing," he thought as he flew down I-75, pushing the pedal even more.
Looking in his rear view mirror, he saw a Florida State Trooper, blue lights flashing and siren blaring.
He floored it to 100 mph, then 110, then 120. Suddenly he thought, "What am I doing? I'm too old for this!" and pulled over to await the trooper's arrival.
Pulling in behind him, the trooper got out of his vehicle and walked up to the Corvette.
He looked at his watch, and then said, "Sir, my shift ends in 30 minutes,
today is Friday, if you can give me a new reason for speeding -- a reason I've never before heard -- I'll let you go."
The old gentleman paused then said: "Three years ago, my wife ran off with a Florida State Trooper. I was afraid you were bringing her back."
"Have a good day, Sir," replied the trooper.
And, A Big Hug - but if this article is true - NOT for Kyle:
"TROUTMAN, N.C. -- Kyle Busch's neighbors aren't happy.
News of the NASCAR driver's excessive speeding charges has spread and mothers in the area are worried about what could have happened to their children.
The road Busch was tagged on is the same road that leads to three area schools.
Police say Busch was going 128 mph in a 45 mph zone Tuesday afternoon on Perth Road.
"I was very upset when I found it was the exact same time I leave to get my kids," said Heidi Desmarais.
Neighbor Kim Shaw said, "We go 45, 55 at most. So to go 128 mph, I just can't imagine going that fast with someone else in your car."
Busch's wife was reportedly in the Lexus sports car with him. Busch told the officer who clocked him on radar that the car was "just a toy."
Busch, who is set to race on Sunday, was allowed to go with just a citation and a court date.
"I think I'd probably be arrested if I was going that fast," said Desmarais.
Iredell County's sheriff is taking some heat, responding to upset residents on his Facebook page, saying,
"When a person is stopped for speeding and reckless driving it is the officer's discretion if the person is issued a citation to appear in court or is taken to the jail for processing."
Shaw says the fact that Busch is a professional driver just makes it worse.
"I think that makes it worse because he's such a role model. To see him go this fast, what kind of message is that sending?" she said. "You save your speed for the racetrack. Not on a residential street.""
Okay - check this out - with video of the road - it does not appear to be an abandoned frontage road - but a road that "leads to three area schools" - and "the only one leading to an elementary school"

He'll win lots more races, Benny. I just hope he doesn't kill anyone on or off the track. The much greater probability being off the track.
As about everyone was saying - 128 on an open highway, understandable - in a residential zone - a BIG no-no.
i won't rehash how much i loathe kyle busch...
what i will say is that this is absolutely a terrible example of just how immature and inconsiderate of a person kyle is. the disrespect for law, safety and rules. his attitude must've been "i can handle this better than anyone else".
how many think or say this just before they die, or kill someone else???
the arrogance and attitude must be checked, if not for his own safely, the safety of others'.
regardless of whether it's kyle busch or ANYBODY else.
NA$CAR has another chance to "get into" this punk's head.
will they take it?
this is serious, and yet law enforcement has let it slide.

Law Enforcement pro'bly wants a Big Donation to it's retirement fund, or whatever. They'll play nice with Kyle, if Kyle will play nice with his bank account.
My sister-in-law was nearly killed and spent a year rehabbing from injuries when she was hit head-on by a rich kid going 87 in a 45 zone in daddy's car. She had her two little children in the back. One got a broken arm, the other was okay. Except that they watched mommy almost bleed to death at the scene.
