Qualifying here is important, but not the end all of the race. While the winner is likely to come from the top ten, that is true in lots of races. The Coke 600 is about three different races in one, depending on the weather. It starts in the sun, changes to evening and then cools off for the last 100 laps. The teams that can make the transitions do well at this track. That is why Chad Knaus does well here, because he is the master of adjustments at the track.
I am leaving this afternoon to make our annual mecca to Charlotte. We will be touring the HOF on Saturday and tailgating on Sunday for the race. So turn your prayer rugs toward Concord, NC and pray we don't get rain, I need all the help I can get.
