whammer jammer, It's because when the race is finished and if your driver hasn't completed all laps then he has to give back any points he might have gotten earlier, and if he causes a wreck then they will deduct any points he might accure over the next race to just to compensate whoever he wrecked. So since the race is over and Matt finished 44th with a big wreak, he'll neve have a chance to make the chase. Sorry for yor loss !
