    Rubbin is Racin

Although I believe this, I ask all of you that think this penalty was too much or even just right, How was this rubbing, or even racing. It was merely an act of road rage. What a character to teach our children. If someone cuts you off on the road, wreck em'. I was taking my daughter to work this morning listening to the Morn DJ laughing at Neckcar saying how the punishment was so Kes could seek revenge and Carl couldn't retaliate. They said they did it so that it was like wrestling and fans would tune in. So everything I said was being said buy a radio show telling the Atlanta area our Sport was no more a sport then wrestling. They are right! when acts of violence are acted out and the consequence could be so severe and punishment is, Don't do it for 3 races, then ok seek out revenge again. if no suspension then the rest of the year probation with the record he has @ being a reckless driver. if this was Bristol or Martinsville that is one thing but the fastest track on the circuit and you do this, That is like saying that guy cut me off so I ran him off the road into a field as opposed to him ran him over th cliff. but really this is a case of "I'm a Dumb@$$ and pulled over in front of him and he honked at me so I'm going to run him off the cliff" Call me a pansy if you must but in sports you must have sportsmanship and whether or not you think he deserved it, Turn the cars around, then what do you say? I would say Put kes out of racing he is a danger to the sport. Carl's actions on the track have progressed and if 3 races is enough time to think about his progression of aggression then it should be 3 races off track. For a veteran driver I do think that is too much time though and would have been happy with as little as half the season on probation. Especially with no fines or points hit. Kes took a huge one. Are they going to give him his 6th place points? what about all the cars that were wrecked in Green white Checker that wasn't needed if it doesn't happen. probation for three days in essence. No fine no points loss. I smell what the Roush is cookin' it's good lawyers to fight the Evil Neckcar Boss Hoss!!!
The punishment has to fit the crime, in this case it only thickened the plot of the wrestling match in the ovaled square.

any rational debate excepted and one liners, think about how stupid you will look debating logic in one line. I am ready to debate this, anyone of you that has anything real to offer to it. I won't call you stupid idiot or anything else please help me understand how this was considered racing and just a racing deal in a sport. Because to me It is about the race which is a sport, but vengeance is not racing. you want vengeance that is what the pits are for. Get pissed off go walk up to them nice and calm say "hey can we talk about this." THEN f'ING COLD COCK THEM AND START KICKING THE SH!T OUT OF THEM. LEAVE THE CARS FOR RACING!!!!!! and yes Rubbin is racing when you on the same F'ing lap. some is slow and you wanna move them up go for it. 156 laps down leaders come by Get F' out of th way. That is sportsmanship that is racing lets get back to racing and leave the Actors to do the wrestling.

    • Well thanks for saying Kes has talent. LoL. I'm glad to see that I was able to at least enlighten others to why this was to me a series of bad decisions that leads to them making it look like it's fine to do. I just knew my anger over this wasn't going to get across as anything more then crying with some of the sarcasm i shoved out here after the announcement. They were just extreme comparisons I was making. I don't think we should throw cans on the track I don't want to see someone die, not even Carl Edwards, Who shot way past Kyle on the Hate list this year. In fact these rules play in his hands. he has his best shot at being the cup champ this year. He can move the best of them out of his way and will. Any way Thank you for bringing up points and helping make this thread one the trolls are afraid of because the know how stupid they would look one lining logic. My views on this are no different then they were, yet I understand that these are the rules they set now and I will love the drama but fear the consequences that the non action of Boss Hoss Helton and Boys made on this. Many say there was a signal sent out, I just think that it was the wrong one and soon others will push the envelope because the bar was set so low. If you can do this 156 down what can you do on same lap? 8 wheels are better then 4 will be a motto befor long and how long before they perfect pushing someone into the wall and driving away with out making it look intentional. We know kes can move people and on the same lap it's just a racing thing you won't even get 3 days probation. that is why I feel the punishment did not fit the crime. I'm glad you understand my point of view.

    • I think the punishment was light but i certainly didnt expect any different from Nascar. They need people to start watching and Drama will do it every time. Unfortunately this kind of drama could get people hurt or killed. They definitely sent a message to the drivers. Im not even thinking of Carl and Brad anymore. Now that the drivers understand how far they can push it......things are gonna get wild. I'm a little worried honestly.

    • LMAO! 21 ratings well I know I'm keeping him busy. LoL. Poor Salami wants my attention so bad.

    • I'm all for the gloves are off, rubbin' is racin', etc, etc...

NASCAR cannot allow an entire team to plot out a 156 lap down wrecked car to exact revenge in this manner. What people are overlooking is the fact that, when Carl came down pit road with seven laps to go for fresh tires, then waited for his spotter and crew cheif to get the timing right for his pit exit to come out at speed just behind Keselowski with five to go, chased the kid down for two laps almost wrecking himself a couple of times, then exacting his revenge for an earlier incident which was clearly his own ignorance in the first place, right under the flagstand, was a clear shot of disrespect to the sport!

This all took place under the watchful eyes of NASCAR. You know those officials who time pit road speeds to the infinate milli-second? The same officiating crew who decide whether your right rear is in the pit box within micrometer readings of point zero one with a glance?

Edwards may as well got out of his car, flipped the bird to Robin Pemberton, turned towards Jon Darby, faked with a left and dead on, straight-up sucker-punched Mike Helton in the face then as Helton's limp body was dropping to the ground, Edwards should've gave him a couple of hip thrusts towards his face and screamed "Who's yer Daddy now BITCH!?!" A three day probation? OK! Now that's how you mantain your belt in the WWNASCARF!

      LMAO!

I think I can drive like that and take out some other cars. I think I will try to call one of the teams and see if they need a driver for wrecking only so their main driver(s) can make a run at the cup. That's 12 different cars to take out before getting season long probation. I wonder if 13 would warrant a single race suspension, if so that is at least 20 cars I would get to take out. I could just take a nice leisurely drive around the tracks, get around 100 laps down, get the car setup right to run anyone down and go get them. Maybe then Helton and his cronies will get their heads out of their butts and use their heads for something other than for their hair to grow sit on before falling out and come up with a solution to the problem before one of the boneheads kill another driver or even someone in the stands or pits.

    • Its unbelieveable to me how everyone wants edwards penalized... I must have sat through 18 hours of the same commercial for the Daytona 500 saying how this season was gonna be different, how NASCAR was going to let the drivers settle it... we made it what? like 4 races in before NASCAR showed us it was all just media hype and that all that time I had to listen to annoying Darrell Waltrip talk about the glory days coming back "like when I useta race" was for nothing. I don't care what anybody thinks, I want to see Kesolowski go out and wreck Edwards the same way next week, but it wont happen now that nascar showed its true colors

      • Daniel it's much like the the gun law, we have the right to own one, that don't mean go shoot someone. letting drivers settle to me meant pushing and shoving in the pits Man to Man. If It was Jimmie or Jr that hit the wall would it be different? Yes it's a double standard. maybe i'm polarized by being a Kes fan some. I just feel a cheep shot like that coming from Kes before Sunday I would have walked away from him and never looked back. Yet everyone here was glad because it was him. Well I say They should have stayed out. If a planned out attack doesn't warrant more probation from a Jack @$$ with a history of being one. Than They should just let it go. If I was Kes I would Return the favor and make Nascar Officials a joke if they tried to do anymore then what Carl got. I mean Carl came out with nothing. So I say Put him in the fence again at Dega. What is the worst they can Do 3 weeks probation. I look forward to it.

The biggest problem here is no one is looking at driver A Driver B. What driver A did to Driver B was wrong and uncalled for. If nascar sits on the side line for it they make a joke of the sport. The problem is they Did. This was a true chance to set the rules of when they step in. seeking vengeance on the fastest track on the circuit is not like at bristol.

The other thing I'm sick of hearing is it's not the action it's the wing. No driver B would not be backwards if not for the action. Everyone who watches knows what happens when at 190mph the car gets backwards. It fly's It did before the wing and will after. But to allow Driver A to just seek vengeance for what he thought, with out any real consequence just says I need NeckCar to be the judge and Jury when I run the idiot in the fast lane off into a ditch At 55 mph. Just Saying

Rubbin is racing when you racing and this sport has many dangers in it and that makes it great we don't need to add to the danger @ 190 with stupidity. going for a position is one thing but chasing him down and trying for a couple laps. he did what he set out to do, got him air borne. Anyone who looks at it can see he meant to do it. getting him loose and side ways was not enough. he turned down the track to insure that wing would do it's job. I know, you know, Helton Knows, and even Carl knows he planned that out. and it worked to a T. 3 day probation is a joke. Hell Jr got more than that didn't he?

    • I have to disagree.. MoToR...3 races might be a little off maybe should've been more... but the fault is in the COT design not Edwards.. this was a classic front right left corner payback spin move on a straight away with safe barriers...Rubbin, Wreckin, and Fightin are what got Nascar where it is today. Kez didn't even get a scratch.... kez has caused more wrecks than anyone as of late... paybacks a bitch.. long live real racin... Just my Opinion..

      • I think the fact he

#1 came in 156 laps down and tried to wreck him at least 3 times

#2 Spun him at 190+ MPH knowing by first hand experience that going backwards at that high of a speed sends the COT airborne

He shouldve gotten season long probation.

I did originally call for a suspension, but thinking about it that affects all the other people who werent behind the wheel of the 99 car. I dont think its fair to take paychecks from people who werent in control of the car. I know the crews still wouldve worked, but the fact its not their regular driver almost guarantees a 30 or worse finish, affecting everyon on the teams pay.

      • Chainsaw you know I agree with you on a lot of things, But seriously 156 laps down. How is that racing? how many cars at the end were tore up that would not have been. No points and no fines. So Kes just has to Take it because Carl tried to squeeze somewhere he wouldn't fit. Kes is just suppose to jump on the brakes and create a dog pile behind him because carl wanted in? Yes the spectacle of the crash was great drama and the Car proved it's worth again. What Gives Carl the right? rubbing is racing and move them out of the way but childish acts like Carls not only teach our children bad sportsmanship but road rage is cool too. I'm all for rubbing for the lead but childish vengeance has no place at 190mph. The signal being sent out is anything goes. It will Too! I just think it makes this sport a joke to all other sports now. if you can take out a top ten car just because you "Think" you were wronged then Kes can just do it to Carl again and know that they can't give him any more then the same punishment. So when juan has a bad day he can say put it back together I'm not letting jimmie win he rubbed me wrong 3 weeks ago and I lost points so I'm going to get them back. Is that racing ? No it's not and that is what Carl did. I'm all for it hell i love a good wreck and now we will get a lot of them.
