General Message Board
Hey people get a life. This is only a game. I have missed the deadline before, and had the same lineup for two weeks. Why is it Yahoos problem if you didn't submit your lineup on time? Play the game know the deadline.

You f-ing idiots are missing the point all together!!! My point was that Yahoo sends a reminder to set the drivers an hour after the deadline passes to set the drivers. I could give 2 sh!ts whether I actually set my drivers ahead of the deadline or not. I just thought it was ironic that what is a supposed giant in the technology field lets something like that slip. Just amusing, that's all.
Believe it or not NASCAR isn't the center of my life (gasp!!!! blasphemy!!!). So I'm not on this fantasy page day in and day out during the week checking messages and setting my drivers like alot of you die-hards. Good for ya'll! Between running several businesses and taking care of my family I might find 15 minutes a week to come here and do my thing. I rely on the reminders from Yahoo to set drivers. But some of you were right, it is ultimately my responsibility to make sure I know the rules and my original post was more a pot shot at Yahoo than anything else, but thank you for putting me in my place.

I'm with you... I also have other things going on in my life besides fantasy racing. Yes, it is ultimately my responsibility to activate my drivers. It's still kind of a bonehead move to tell me to change them after I can't change them.

Hey boss I know i've been late for a week, but there is a detour. I know we start at 8 but the detour takes a extra 15 minutes and I Usually need that time to stop at Starbucks to get a Mocha . I have even set my alarm for 7:30 .
Anytime there is a practice on Thursday at a non impound race, you have to pick your drivers the night before.
On Sat Night races at non inpound tracks, you always have to be pick on Wed night..It has been this way for all year...
I never depend on Yahoo to remind me...Besides it was posted here earlier this week
The last time Yahoo had the set-date for the roster early, I missed it, and had to play my last week's team - and I did jest fine!
Fortunately, this time, someone kindly posted the early date to this message board, and I also noticed qualifying was on Thursday, so I changed my roster. But seriously, I didn't change a lot of drivers. Yahoo emailed me at 3:12 this morning, LOL, so I wouldn't have know if not for the post and qualifying date.
Despite how different the tracks are, I think a good Daytona roster will hold up this week at Chicagoland...

This is the response I got from Yahoo!
Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Fantasy Sports.
I appreciate your inquiry with regards to editing lineups.
The notification went out the same time that they always do, but this
weeks LifeLock.com 400 is on Saturday which is normally a day earlier
than most of the other races on the Nascar Sprint Cup circuit.
You will not be able to change (add/drop) the drivers on your team after
the deadline for the upcoming race. The deadline for picking new drivers
for the upcoming race is 2:00 am PT on the night before the first day of
qualifying. The deadline to change the activity status of your current
drivers is five minutes before the scheduled start of each race.
Please email us again whenever you have further questions or comments.
Thank you again for contacting Yahoo! Fantasy Sports.
Those of you who are Anal Fantasy People - good for you! Glad you got your picks in. But for those of us who have a life and depend on the email reminder to change our drivers and play in a "fun" league don't appreciate a late notice!
