You give the japanese manufacturers the opportunity to design whatever car they want however designed with only performance(HP) and weight stipulations and these wealthy asians are gonna make a car that destroys the American cars just to make a point........with all the money the automakers don't have right now thats exactly what they need........to have to spend millions more dollars designing a car to try and keep up with toyota..........here's an idea............

make everyone drive a toyota and let the american automakers spend their time and their money coming up with a car that the average american on a budget would be proud of driving because other then the focus, the charger and the cobalt, american cars suck and only one of those can even be considered a family car. Toyota is running a majority on the front pack every week so they've obviously figured out something the others havent..........

I know me saying they should drive a japanese car in Nascar is like one of you telling me they should take everyone in the PGA and say that they are representing the countries there ancestors came from instead of America, but it's not that I'm not a patriot, I'm just a realist and if you wanna make racing exciting again........give everyone the same fuckin car and let driving be the decider

or hell, atleast do a points battle between manufacturers next year and allow whichever one of the big three that wins the most work with toyota to develop a singular car for the whole field.

everyone knows chevy would win that so atleast ford and dodge can go back to what they were made for............take off speed and funnel their money into saving another sport..............drag racing

some things are more important than nascar or sports in general......not many but some things and manufacturers spending money and hiring people for that kind of development is exactly what they don't need to be wasting bailout money on

it is not that Toyota built a more powerful engine it is they didn't let the big three bring out their best. have you noticed that the new engines are a lot stronger then last year. when NASCAR didn't allow dodge or chevy to bring out their new power plants. and to say that toyota has the better motor I dare Toyota to go one on one against a hemi. The Hemi is the Motor that dominated this sport for many years. How do you think the king became the king. So don't think Toyota is as good as they look in Nascar. They brought in a lot of money so they got an unfair advantage by Nascar not allowing the others to bring in the real power. Now that Chevy has their new plant in place Hendricks looks unstoppable and Dodge has allowed Kurt Busch to look like he did when with Roush. So you can spout of that toyota is more advanced but I'll tell you that Buick beat Lexus and Honda for quality and durability. So why so negative on the big three. you claim to love being american. then know that Buick (GM) is better then Toyota (Lexus) before you start saying that they are better.

On the last stop- Tony supposedly took the spring rubber out again and thats why he went back to having handling issues. At PIR and all short tracks track position really doesn't cause problems like it does at the big tracks.

And your solution is way off too. No one wants to pay to see Kyle Busch in a celica like their daughter drives. LOL


Admittedly- there is handling issues due to poor aerodynamics from track position on big tracks which causes some poor racing in instances. So whats the real solution?
The solution is tweak the COT. How do you tweak it? You allow more testing with Goodyear to bring in a new tire. The Las Vegas race showed the potential of what a new tire can do and the racing was great. They were setting new records at Vegas. With the right tire the COT's handling issues would be solved.

However, numbers wise the racing is closer than ever and NASCAR is still selling out races in the worst economy in 80 years. Thank god NASCAR doesn't allow fans like the people on this thread to make decisions.
