I think this is the biggest factor with Eury and Jr, Jr was brought up listening to his father telling CC how to fix the car, and he does the same...the 48 team has proved how important a good CC is.....Being along time Chevy fan in nascar, it was great to hear JJ say that he or Chad would be where they are today without ol Jeff Gordon, He knows the value of a good CC

Boy I know what you mean there man, I can't tell you the times that I had drivers available and would over analyize races. The second half of the season I looked at the stats of the last 5 years and looked at who was hot lately and did much better.

As for Michael McDowell, I don't think that he was in a very good situation. I doubt that David Ragan would have been as successful had he not been in Roush cars and have a great crew chief like Jimmy Fennig bringing him along. Even when they put Skinner in the car, it didn't get better, so I'm not convinced it was all the driver.

I think (There I go thinking again huh Cliff?!? LMAO!!) A.J. Allmendinger, Michael McDowell and Scott Speed are all victims of happenstance. The Red Bull Racing team in ARCA is a very dominant team, NASCAR's version and MWR are not quite there yet in the Cup series. I feel Joey Lagano may be headed to the same fate, of course J.D. Gibbs will be a little more patient along with building better cars for him, so he may be alright as long as he doesn't fall into the trap of believing his own hype as stated in a earlier post by Colbrees.

Look at the huge leap in actual racing ability, not driving ability, A.J. has made from Red Bull Racing to Gillette/Evernham he's the same driver.. He simply had better equipment with the #10 team. I would also like to add that a comfortable driver is a better driver, I think A.J. has more faith in the #10 car and it's crew than he ever had with the RBR #84.
