Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
My team has been struggling with injuries....Just lost Pau this week. I am trying to make for last spot of Playoff? Does my team has chance to make to PO? Need you opinion! thx. Should I drop Will Bynum for Aminu or Patterson (just dropped him this week, prob someone will claim him off wavier)
(I am winning with 5:4 as now.)
Here is team roster:
14 team H2H 9 Cat (currently 12th place, 14, 13 and 10 games behind 6.7 8th place)
PG Dragic, Felton, Calderon, Will Bynum
SG Klay, Derozan
SF G.Wallace, Leonard
PF Nene, Mullens
C AL Jefferson, Peko, Dalembert
Notable FAs: Patterson (on Wavier, dropped him for Daly), Jason Thompson, Aminu and Batche.
Anyone who says No chance at all must play in small leagues. Sure your team is pretty average at best, but in a 14 team league, 14 games behind 6th (assuming that is the last playoff spot?) ANYTHING can happen. In my 16 team league last year, due to a really bad trade (traded a stud for a stud, then the guy I traded for got hurt) and other injuries and bad luck, I was betwen 16th and 14th all the way thru the all star break.
But, I made a couple risky trades, a couple lucky FA pickups, snuck my way into the 8th and final playoff spot, and ended up winning the whole thing.
My point is, you can never count yourself completely out, even if it doesn't look good.
For intsance, IF Mullens stays playing as well as he is, G Wallace picks things up considerably and you make 1 or 2 decent trades and get lucky on 1 or 2 FA adds for guys who all of a sudden become relevant after the trade deadline, who knows?
Dragic struggling and Felton injured probably didn't help things, so I think your PG stats will be much better now. Personally I'd try to trade Klay and Derozan for players who are more versatile.
