    Chris Paul/ PG depth trade

    12 team h-2-h 9 category keeper league

If Chris Paul was your only PG, would you rather stick with just him, or trade him for Goran Dragic and Mike Conley if the offer was on the table?

Paul is ranked 3rd in the league, while Conley is just inside top 50, and Dragic just outside of top 74 value.

Paul is the best PG in the league IMO, but I have a player worth dropping and could use the depth. Conley's steals would basically make up for CP3's by himself, I'd be gaining a good amount of 3's, my overall %'s wouldn't change drastically and the combined stats of Conley/Dragic together are better than the combined stats of Paul and the player I'd drop.

I also feel like Dragic has a chance to really improve 2nd half of season and finish within top 50 or so.

But then again, it's Chris Paul I'm talking about lol.
This is a hard one for me. If I had any other decent PG's I wouldn't consider it, but since I don't I haven't rejected the offer yet.

    • Maybe you should try fishing other team's PG first (I assume you've tried that already and no one seemed too eager to take the bait) The offer isn't as bad as it gets, i think. If depth is your concern, then maybe you should accept the trade. I would probably accept that offer too.

...but i'm sensing that cp3 will get injured in the near future. LoL
      just kidding.

    • this will hurt a decent amount at FG%, and dragic is one of the worst FT shooting pgs so itll hurt there too. youll be adding on some TOs but the rest of the counting stats should improve if youre dropping someone bad. so i guess it depends on what you value. i also feel like you can get more for paul though it is generally pretty hard to pry 2 pgs away from a team

      • Thanks, that what I was thinking. Even though Paul is one of the best FT shooters in the league, the rest of my team is built around strong FG% and poor FT%. So if I did make this trade I wouldn't be worried about the drop in %'s. My good FG shooters are enough to make up the difference, and I really don't need Paul's awesome FT shooting on this squad.
I didn't intend to go about having Chris Paul AND punt FT% lol, that's just how it ended up working out over the last couple seasons.

I also feel like I could get more for Paul if I did a 1 for 2 trade for players of 2 different positions. But PG is the only position I really need help in, both for this year and for the future, and I honestly don't think I'd be able to as good of depth in any other future trades.

I always thought that if I traded CP3 away it would be in a big blockbuster move, but I'm actually leaning towards accepting this offer since I think overall it would help my team. even if it doesn't sound like that great of a deal based on names or Yahoo current rankings.
