Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
A couple of weeks ago, I made a trade offer. I was last in FT%. The other team needs D12's stats.
BUT I was 1st place overall.
12 Team 10 Category ROTO League
BEFORE the trade
G Lin Kobe MoWil
F Pierce KG Faried
C D12 Noah
U Hill Nelson
B Knight, Sanders, Mullens
(D12 played 20 games, made 97 of 204 FTA)
AFTER THE TRADE (and up to date)
G Lin, Bryant, Nelson
F Pierce, KG, MBarnes
C Bosh, Noah
U Sanders, Amir
B Knight, George Hill, Faried (benched due to low FT)
Right now I'm still in 1st place and I'm gaining on FT% (9th now). (Bosh played 18 games now and made 46 of 54 FTA)
Most people here said I was giving up too much or I made a bad decision. But my main strategy was not to PUNT FT% so I aimed for a lesser PF/C with high FT% and I benched Faried because he too was a 50% FT shooter.
I was able to ride JThompsons HOT streak while the other team dropped the oft injured Mullens. I dropped Jthompson for Amir just recenlty.. So that makes D12 for BOSH + JThompson.. which was not bad.
you can check out my team.. (if that's possible)

I just want to share this because I'm tired of reading posts of some people making trade offers to boost their lineup BUT not wanting to lose one of their good players... Sometimes you have to have the guts to make the offer based on what your team really needs and you should consider what the OTHER team needs the most too...
What round did you draft Howard in? Since he was injured during the draft and fell down a bit, and this is roto, I would assume he fell to maybe the 12th round in a competitive league? But it looks like you may have drafted him with your 2nd or 3rd pick.
Howard and roto dont mix.
Punting categories and roto also dont mix.

I was 11th pick overall. My 1st pick was Kobe then the other team picked Harden and Curry. Then I picked Howard at 14th. My strategy was to pick up players with HIGH volume FTA and HIGH Percentages to cover up D12's low FT%. Though I kinda failed in that attempt since my later picks were as follows:
3 Pierce 4 KG 5 Noah 6 Lin 7 MoWil 8 Faried 9 Knight 10 Brand 11 GHill 12 Mullens 13 JGreen

Oh you shouldn't doubt that, since most people here don't pay attention to post's before making a reply. Whether it's a Roto league or a H2H. They'd just read the title and the body then reply.
And D12 for a waiver pick.. I highly doubt that. Seriously. LOL
