Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I know that many things can change between now and the end of the fantasy season. But, just hypothetically if the season ended today I'd have a very hard time chosing which 5 players from my team as my keepers.
I have some very solid players, and then some guys that would definitely be keepers in my other leagues, and then a few that are a step below that but have high upside.
In a perfect world, I'd be able to package a few away in trades, upgrade the ones I have, and still stay competitive this season. But I think the main reason I'm doing well this year is because of my fairly good depth.
So, if you HAD to decide today, which 5 would you keep and why?
12 team h-2-h 9 category league
Demarcus Cousins (PF,C)
Dwight Howard (C)
Brook Lopez (C)
Nikola Vucevic (PF,C)
Andre Drummond (PF,C)
Goran Dragic (PG)
Mike Conley (PG)
OJ Mayo (SG)
JJ Redick (SG)
Thaddeus Young (SF,PF)
Alexy Shved (PG,SG)
Isaiah Thomas (PG)
Alonzo Gee (SG,SF)
^^That's my whole roster minus Earl Clark who I picked up as a streaming player, but haven't dropped yet. He's playing well and will likely hold SOME value when Gasol returns, I'm thinking about dropping him since I need 3's and assists more than rebounds. Maybe for someone like Rodney Stuckey, JJ Barea, Lance Stevenson or someone else that could better help my squad.

I personally wouldn't. Beasley is too up and down, and it's not a given that the new coaching system will include him any more than Gentry was. And Green has put up decent stats in limited minutes, and with Gino out he has a chance to prove he's worth giving more minutes to.
Neither player are likely to make or break your team, I would just personally stick it out with Green.
hmm interesting punt FT% keeper situation. do you want to continue to punt FT% next year? if you do i definitely think you should work out some trades as brook and cousins can both shoot free throws. overall value your best 5 are dwight, brook, cousins, dragic, and conley in my opinion. thaddeus and drummond have great value for your team too though
cuz , d12 , brook , goran , conley/nikola ... cuz,d12 are no brainers ... goran is a good pg that will get better if healthy , im torn btwn conley and nikola , but i might switch goran with conley and keep nikola , leaving goran out . answer mine

Thanks. Obviously with Howard and Drummond I'm punting FT's, and would continue to if I keep either/both... The thing is, I'm not really sure how many good PG's will be in the re-draft. So I'm not sure if I should go with Howard, Cousins and Lopez to build my frontcourt and keep Dragic and Conley for some decent PG's... Or just fully load up my frontcourt with Howard, Cousins, Lopez, Vucevic and Drummond. Or leave one out and keep Mayo.
Regaurdless of what I do, I'll be putting some very good talent back into the re-draft, and if I continue to do well in this league, will likely not get a chance to draft any of them.
Oh, I also have Robin Lopez. Who in my opinion is not a keeper consideration for my team. He's too good to drop, but not good enough to trade. So I'm kind of stuck with him unless I can package him together with another player.
