Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Would you drop Jason Kidd for:
I need assists, but some salvage of 3's and steals if I drop Kidd would be nice.
I've been trying to add Kidd into some trade offers since Yahoo ranks him somewhere around 25th, but nobody is biting.
I'm thinking Bledsoe or Barea?
I would stay put with what you have for now. Unless CP3's injury is more serious than what were being told than pick up Bledsoe asap...but none of those options are appealing. Kidd is one of those players that can produce across the board, but he lacks trade value because no one really would trade for him. Something like Glen Davis...there are so many haters on him for his lower fg% etc but it's clear he can help your team.
I hate J. Kidd, but those are some weak alternatives.
Bledsoe is great for steals and a block now and again. He's not much of a three point shooter and he plays backup to a guy named Chris Paul.
Barea is in a crowded back court, but gets threes and dimes if he can get the minutes. Problem is he is competing with Shved, Rubio, and Frodo for minutes and plays a physical game that creates lots of injury opportunity for himself.
Price and Bradley are worth avoiding as anything but plug and play guys.
It might be worth dropping Kidd and using all four guys to stream into your lineups every week.

Thanks, your points are exactly why I haven't made the move yet. I just don't like Kidd, he'll put up great numbers one night, then disappear the next. I also am not holding my breathe that he stays healthy all year, and a month from now when Felton and Shumpert are both healthy, I'm not sure Kidd will maintain his value.
I guess I will stick with him for now, unless I do decide to stream that roster slot.
