Okay, I know that Kaman isn't the best defender in the world, and I know that he is extremely injury prone, BUT why does he get so little minutes? I watched a game a week or 2 ago where he played very well for the 1st 3 quarters, but then inexplicably sat on the bench for the entire 4th quarter and Overtime! In that game, Elton Brand got his minutes, and I think had 2 points and 1 rebound or something pathetic like that.
I kind of understand limiting his minutes on back to backs since he is so injury prone. BUT it's not like he's Duncan or Pierce or Kobe who are in their mid to late 30's (all of which I think average more minutes than him too!).
When he's on the court he looks very good on offense, and decent on defense. His per minute production is very good.. I guess I'm just wondering if any Mavericks fans can tell me why he has only played 30+ minutes 5 times this year, and is only averaging 25MPG as a starter?
