Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
12 team h-2-h league. Thinking about trying to trade Cousins either straight up, or matched with 1 of my lower quality players. But not really sure if I should go after another PF,C, a wing player, or a high assist PG.
If this was your team, who do you think you would target?
PG: Mike Conley
SG: OJ Mayo
G: Goran Dragic
SF: Thaddeus Young
PF: Demarcus Cousins
F: Nikola Vucevic
C: Dwight Howard
C: Brook Lopez
Util: JJ Redick
Util: Alonzo Gee
There is 1 manager who is a big Kings fan. Some of his better players are Kevin Love, Serge Ibaka and Rudy Gay.
I'm thinking about asking for Rudy Gay straight up. He is currently ranked higher, but Cousins started off HORRIBLE, and the likelihood of him improving is pretty high. While I think Gay is playing pretty close to as high as he can right now... Looking at my roster do you think this is a good idea? If you had Gay would you consider it?
Also considering dropping Seraphin or R Lopez for Andre Drummond and hope that A.D. eventually gets more minutes. Was thinking Lopez 1st, but he's played decent while Seraphin has looked pretty bad lately.

If you go strictly by Yahoo rankings you are bound to lose. But yeah, Cousins is ranked 110th right now and Gay is ranked 48th.
Just FYI, Jason Kidd is ranked 21st. Which is kind of my point about not going by the yahoo rankings.
Cousins is just a true playmaking point guard away from reaching his full potential. All of his current scoring and low percentages are due to his one-on-one plays and his offensive rebound put-back getting blocked. A good point guard would easily remedy these. I would keep Cousins in a keeper league.
Even though this is a keeper league, Gay and Cousins have similar ceilings. Thing is, Cousins is such a frustrating player to own and I don't see him ever reaching his full potential. If you can swing a trade for Gay, do it.
It's funny, before I finished reading your post I was thinking to go for a guy like Rudy Gay. Your team is fairly well rounded. I would target a wing player if possible. Maybe even an older guy like Pierce.
For your other question, definitely Seraphin for Drummond. Lopez isn't really drop worthy in my opinion.
By the way, before I hit "reply", I accidentally hit "report abuse". I'm so sorry! I'm sure yahoo will see this message and see that it was a mistake.

Lol, it's all good, thanks for the reply... And the report! haha. Anyways, I'm thinking of offering Cousins straight up for Gay, but if Cousins ever gets his head out of his #$%$, he should put up better numbers than Gay. And since this is a keeper league i have to think about long term too. That's the only thing holding me back.
