Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Yahoo ranking is based on roto system and mathematically values balance over dominance. Faried's free throw % is close to the bottom most tier among all players. This ranking is flawed in the sense that it does not take into account the number of free throw attempts and thus the level of damage that low % would cause to a team. Therefore, Yahoo ranks should serve as a reference but don't pay too much attention to it, especially if you are in a H2H league.
It's always been lopsided like this..Battier in years past always had awkwardly high rankings. Meanwhile Danny Green is ranked 34th wih his yawntastic avgs. of 13/ 2 / 2 haha, just because he hits a three with decent %'s..he is posting third to fourth round value which is obvious bull..I'll have my Faried toast to yahoo's rankings out of the Gold Throphy that I'll most likely win with him!
You're right that's way too low, Faried doesn't take enough free throws to cause his rankings to dip that much.
Faried should be ranked:
H2H #87 in 9-cat and around #93 in 8-cat
In Roto he's #71 in 9-cat and #72 in 8-cat
