Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I never really understood why people whould say that the stats don't matter... If the stats don't matter then just keep Ilyasova and hope he turns things around.
It's very hard to compare 3 point shooters to rebounders with low FG%, to rebounders/shot blockers with horrid FT% without knowing the makeup of your team.
For example, if you are really close in FT% every week, DJ wouldn't be the best choice. But if you already lose that category anyways and need rebs and blocks he's your guy.

Right now i'm just looking for the overall value of the player regardless of the stats I need. For instance say im pretty much balanced in stats right now, but just a little tad behind in rebounds, and both kendrick perkins and chris paul are free agents (again this is just an example, of course chris paul would not be a free agent), I would drop ilyasova and go for chris paul, maybe even trade him in the future for a better rebounding player. Im just looking for overall value. thanks for the response though!
