  • Are Teammates Importaint?

I'm new to fantasy basketball. Does it help to have teammates on your fantasy team? If you have a SG should you try to get the PG from that team? I know in fantasy football some people try to pair up QB's and WR from the same team. Thanks!

I don't think it's necessary to have teammates on your fantasy league team unless the draft ends up going this way---

I had Bibby and Martin last year and finished 2nd---I'm a Kings fan but didn't think I'd end up with both--it worked out pretty well for me.

Given that there are so many games to be played it's better to have a range of players from lots of teams.

The two (now three) exceptions to this rule are Dallas and Phoenix (and now minny) - if you have say, Dirk and Josh Howard/Terry or Marion/Nash and/or Amare and Barbosa/Bell (or now KG and Allen/Pierce) then that's fine...

It's probably not smart to have more than two players from the same team though (especially in H2H - if the team has an off week then you can easily lose a matchup).
